How To Apply For A Passport Online And Documents Required For Passport

Here in this post we will guide you how to apply for a passport on-line and what are all the documents required for passport i am sharing it with my own experience of getting a passport. Ministry of external affairs has recently launched passport seva kendras(PSK) which drastically simplified the process of  getting a passport. Citizen of India can now use the new system to obtain the passport within 15 days and in tatkaal  within 3 days.

• Address Proof
• Age Proof
• Education Proof
• Minor Passport Proof

ONLINE PASSPORT APPLYING PROCEDURE:

Fresh passport is a one to be applied in case an applicant does not hold any existing passport. For Online passport applying you need to be registered user on the passport seva website. To create a a user account on passport seva website Click Here

Step 1: create a user account in passport seva website by providing the Name, Date of birth, Email-Id, Login-id and passport.

Step 2: Log into your passport seva user account 

Step 3: Fill the required details in the form and submit the form online

Step 4: Payment should be made online 

Step-5: Appointment list will be provided after the payment select the appointment details  like PSK Location, Date & time and submit 

Step-6: Online Application Receipt will be generated take a print out of the receipt 

Step-7: Take the original documents and two copy xerox with you while attending the appointment

NOTE:

• Applicant should reach the passport seva kendra by the reporting time mentioned on the online application receipt for pre-checking of documents to avoid any hassles in issuance of token
• Only in the case of senior citizens, Physically challenged, Illiterate applicants and mnor cases, one accompanying person from the family will be allowed along with applicant.
• Applicant will not be issued token at passport seva kendra, if they report after scheduled appointment time.
• Details as per the payment date. payment once made for availing passport services will not be refunded.

If you are applying for a Fresh passport you need to submit the following documents:

1.ADDRESS PROOF (ANY TWO) 

• Ration card
• Voter ID
• Aadhaar card
• Driving License
• Bank acc.(covering letter with photo)
• Gas connection
• Bsnl Land Line/ Mobile post paid bill
• HR Covering Letter

2.AGE PROOF (BEFORE 1989) (ANY 2)

• 10th / 12th Mark sheet
• Transfer Certificate
• Birth Certificate

3.AGE PROOF(AFTER 1989)

• Online birth certificate

4.EDUCATIONAL PROOF(ANY ONE):

• 10th / 12th Mark sheet
• Diploma / Degree certificate

5.MINOR PASSPORT PROOF:

• Parent passport
• Birth certificate
• School bonafide certificate / ID card
• 2 Passport size photo(below 4 years)
• Annexure " H" (Declaration of parent)
